What Is CNC Plastic Turning?
CNC plastic turning uses computer-controlled lathes to machine round parts from plastic rod, tube, or molded blanks. While turning may look similar to metal lathe work, plastics require different tooling geometry, cutting parameters, workholding, and heat management to prevent melting, dimensional drift, burrs, and surface defects.

● Processes: CNC turning, facing, grooving, parting, boring, reaming, threading (single-point, tapping), knurling, drilling, and light live-tool features (cross-holes, flats, slots).
