LCP CNC Machining Services
Precision CNC machining of Liquid Crystal Polymer parts — from prototypes to repeat production. Tight-tolerance milling and turning in unfilled and filled grades, with export-ready quality from our Dongguan facility.
Why LCP for Machined Parts
LCP is a high-performance polymer that excels where dimensional stability, thermal resistance, and precision matter most.
Dimensional Stability
Excellent stability and very low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) for precision components that hold tolerances across temperature ranges.
High Temperature Resistance
High heat deflection temperature and low moisture absorption make LCP ideal for thermally demanding environments that standard plastics cannot handle.
Chemical & Electrical
Outstanding chemical resistance, excellent electrical insulation, and fast outgassing — suitable for semiconductor, medical, and fluid-handling applications.
High Stiffness (Filled)
Glass, mineral, and carbon-filled grades deliver exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio for precision components requiring structural integrity.
Low Moisture Absorption
Minimal moisture uptake ensures parts remain dimensionally stable in humid or wet environments, unlike many other engineering polymers.
Wear & Creep Resistance
Good wear characteristics and creep behavior make LCP suitable for precision components in motion, load-bearing, and long-life applications.
LCP Grades We Machine
We work with industrial stock shapes — rod, plate, and sheet — in a range of LCP grades tailored to your performance and cost targets.
Unfilled LCP
Best surface finish and fine-feature capability for precision parts.
Glass-Filled LCP
Higher stiffness and dimensional stability for demanding structural components.
Mineral & Carbon-Filled
Specialized grades for specific performance needs — thermal, electrical, or mechanical.
Antistatic / Conductive
On request, subject to stock availability — share ESD requirements in your RFQ.
Common Brand Families We Work With

Our LCP CNC Machining Capabilities
From 3- and 4-axis milling to tight-tolerance turning, our shop is equipped for precision LCP components from prototype through production.
Processes
3- and 4-axis CNC milling, CNC turning, drilling, tapping, threading, slotting, pocketing, counterbores, countersinks, engraving, light assembly.
Part Scope
Precision housings, nests, guides, bushings, rollers, spacers, insulating plates, custom tooling details, small connector-related components.
Tolerances
±0.05 mm typical; down to ±0.02 mm on well-supported features after DFM review and process planning.
Surface Finish
Typical Ra 0.8–1.6 μm; finer finishes feasible on specific geometries and unfilled grades.
Part Sizes
Small to medium components; we advise on maximum stable sizes based on chosen grade and stock shape.
Quantities
1-off prototypes, small batches, and repeat production — flexible and responsive to your schedule.
Design & DFM Guidelines for Machined LCP
Optimize your part for manufacturability. Early DFM feedback helps balance tolerance targets, cost, and lead time.
Geometry
Use generous fillets and edge breaks (0.2–0.5 mm) to reduce chipping. Avoid sharp internal corners; maintain balanced wall thickness ≥1.0–1.5 mm.
Threads & Fastening
Prefer machine-cut threads with radiused roots; consider thread inserts for frequent assembly. Coarse threads are more robust in plastics.
Stability & Orientation
LCP can be anisotropic — we align stock orientation with critical dimensions. For tight flatness/parallelism, allow process allowances and fixturing features.
Machining & Inspection
Sharp tools and careful chip control minimize micro-chipping. Add datums, gauge points, and GD&T callouts for measurement access.
Typical Applications & Industries
LCP components deliver performance across demanding sectors — from semiconductor to aerospace.
Semiconductor & Electronics
Nests, pick-and-place nozzles, handling fixtures, precision insulators, connector-related parts.
Automation & Robotics
Wear strips, guides, rollers, alignment and isolation components for precision motion systems.
Medical & Laboratory
Thermally stable fixtures, insulating structural parts (grade-dependent compliance).
Automotive & Transportation
Small precision components requiring heat and chemical resistance under the hood and in powertrain.
